FTZ was a german institute that checked radios and other technical things for unwanted radiation.And yes,radios do radiate signals out in the air.To keep this at a tolerable level radios had to be approved by FTZ.
The two black things look to be diodes.
Note that the resistors are connected differently.
My guess is that these components could be damping diodes/resistors across the coils,but to be precise the circuit must be traced exactly.Which shouldn't take all day....
